About Us

Moss Brand Management is a boutique marketing and events company specializing in creative promotion, brand activation, and live experiences within the sports, music, and entertainment industries. Our founder and CEO, Vaughan Moss, has mentored some the best and brightest in sports and entertainment marketing and media. As a growing small business, we offer interns meaningful, hands-on experience and the opportunity to directly contribute to real-world projects for the company and its clients.  This includes the Virginia Hip-Hop Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit organization committed to celebrating Virginia’s impact on music, fashion, and culture through hip-hop.

Internship Overview

This internship is designed for motivated students seeking practical experience in marketing, digital and social media, public relations, and sales within fast-paced, creative industries. Interns will work closely with company leadership and gain exposure to both strategic planning and day-to-day execution.

This position is eligible for college credit and is ideal for students looking to build their professional portfolio and industry connections.

Responsibilities

Intern responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with marketing campaigns and promotional initiatives

  • Creating and scheduling digital and social media content (includes photography and videography opportunities)

  • Supporting event planning, coordination, and on-site execution (when applicable)

  • Conducting market research and competitive analysis

  • Assisting with public relations outreach and media tracking

  • Supporting sales efforts, partnerships, and sponsorship research

  • Helping with administrative and operational tasks as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled as a junior, senior, or graduate student

  • Enrolled at a college or university located in Virginia, Maryland, or Washington, D.C.

  • Coursework in marketing, communications, public relations, business, or a related field

  • Previous internship, volunteer, or campus organization experience in:

    • Marketing

    • Digital and social media

    • Communications/Public relations

    • Sales

  • Strong interest in sports, music, and/or entertainment industries

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Self-motivated, organized, and eager to learn in a startup environment

  • Ability to act with professionalism in situations with high-profile individuals and with confidential information
